Galyn Vesey participated in one of the first lunch counter sit-ins in the United States during the Civil Rights movement. He joins Ali Velshi to discuss the significance of the sit-in and how peaceful protests like the sit-in influenced the racial justice movement happening today. He says the activists of today, “have to pick up the baton, continue the struggle for justice and humanity.”
