INFORMATION CENTER / FAQS

I just saw a story on TV, is it on the Web?

Not every TV story is available on MSNBC (just as the web site publishes stories that are not found on TV.) However, many stories are available either as video or text. Try these tips to find them:

Selected recent segments from NBC News, NBC Sports, MSNBC Cable and CNBC are available as on-demand video on the Video News page. (Click here to go to NBC Video News.)

To read the text of a story use our site-search feature and enter keywords that describe the topic. If you know the name of the correspondent who reported the story, you can search for his or her name as well. (Click here to go to MSNBC's search engine.)

If you saw the story on the "Today Show," "Weekend Today," "NBC Nightly News," "Dateline NBC," MSNBC Cable or "The News with Brian Williams," check the home pages for those shows on MSNBC:

Click here to go to the Today show
Click here to go to Weekend Today
Click here to go to NBC Nightly News
Click here to go to Dateline NBC
Click here to go to MSNBC Cable
Click here to go to The News with Brian Williams.

How do I find a particular story?

To see all content on MSNBC, download News Menu, our custom navigation tool. Click here to read more about News Menu and start using it.

You can also use our search engine to look up stories by topic or author. Try to use the most specific keywords possible. Other tips are available on our search page. (Click here to search MSNBC.)

Note: With the exception of special reports and select articles, most stories are available on MSNBC for about a week after first publication.
