6,000 federal prisoners to be released
Between Oct. 30 and Nov. 2, the Obama Administration will release some 6,000 inmates from federal prison in an effort to ease over-crowding and roll back harsh penalties given to nonviolent drug dealers in the 1980’s and 90’s, raising concerns from law enforcement officials.
