Retired Army Brigadier General Anthony Tata’s Senate confirmation was recently cancelled after it was clear he wouldn't get enough votes to make it through committee. But the Trump Administration didn’t stop there. Instead, Trump appointed him to a different role in the Pentagon that didn’t require Senate confirmation. Tata is known for making false and inflammatory statements like saying President Barack Obama is a ‘terrorist leader.’
