This week, every Major League Baseball team player wore the number 42 to mark 75 years since Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier and integrated professional sports. His debut was a turning point for baseball and for America. However, one Republican Senator tried to honor Robinson’s legacy while simultaneously pushing a policy that would eliminate the discussion of racism in school.
