Numbers on migrants' arms as asylum is delayed
As the U.S. delays some migrants from seeking asylum, Mexican officials are writing numbers on migrants' arms to keep track of them. Editor’s note: According to the Mexican Embassy, the people drawing numbers on the arms of migrants are volunteers and members of an NGO—not Mexican officials as we first reported. We regret the error. The action was taken to ensure that people kept their place in line for entry into the U.S. after migrants were moved off the Paso del Norte bridge.
