Dozens of House Republicans are working to force a vote on legislation that would ban trans women and girls from competing in sports with the team of their gender identity. Virginia state delegate Danica Roem, the first openly trans state lawmaker, called the laws “terrible” and said “politicians who attack their constituents shouldn’t be politicians anymore.” April 28, 2022
