The federal minimum wage is unlivable, especially in an expensive metropolis like New York City. Food delivery app couriers don’t even make the state’s minimum wage of $15 per hour currently, and the multi-million dollar companies they work for are pursuing legal action to ensure they won’t reach that point. Ali Velshi explains why it is necessary these couriers who were once deemed essential, get paid fairly.
