Kornacki: Goldwater was just ahead of his time
The Cycle guest host Steve Kornacki discusses how in the 1964 presidential election, Barry Goldwater gave a speech on the final night of the Republican Convention in which he declared he would not tone down his conservative message. Goldwater lost by a landslide, because his ideas made Republicans uneasy, but Steve Kornacki explains that the ideas may have just been before their time.
