The first-ever Morning Joe/Marist poll shows that a majority finds controlling gun violence is more important than protecting gun rights, think gun laws should be more strict, and support a ban on assault weapons. But those majorities are largely split along party lines, with 63% of Republicans favor protecting gun rights over controlling gun violence. NBC News' Chuck Todd discusses.April 3, 2013
