A protest group has a bone to pick with Mitt Romney. "Dogs Against Romney" held a small rally today outside the of the 2012 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York, hitting the candidate on past misadventures with the family pet.
In the 1983 incident, Romney strapped the family's Irish setter, Seamus, inside a crate on the roof of their car. The family then drove for 12 hours — all the way to Canada — while the dog appeared to be ill.
Protesters with pets in tow waved signs reading, "Mitt Is Mean" and "I Ride Inside."
In a press release, organizers advertise the event as a way introduce "dog lovers to their best friend's worst enemy."
