House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy decided to play a violent clip from Ben Affleck’s "The Town" as a way to motivate GOP members. And what better way to inspire politicians to back a dept ceiling plan than to show a scene of criminals getting ready to, in Lawrence’s words, “beat the living s*** out of a guy.” Naturally, this landed in the Rewrite.
