President Obama is continuing his bus tour today in the Midwest. The President has one more stop in Alpha, IL and then heads back to Washington tonight. This morning on "The Daily Rundown" White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said the President would put forward two proposals for growing jobs in early September.

Big Surprise - Republicans are attacking President Obama over his bus tour. RNC chair Reince Priebus went after the president today for using taxpayer money and a "Canadian bus" for his Midwest town hall tour. Unfortunately for Priebus, The Chicago Tribune is reporting that in 2004 George W. Bush used a bus from the same Canadian manufacturer and it was most certainly paid for with tax dollars.

Rick Perry is in New Hampshire today. He's continuing his attacks on President Obama and today he said he has doubts about the science behind global warming.  He said, "I don't think ... that I want America to be engaged in spending that much money on still a scientific theory that has not been proven and from my perspective is more and more being put into question."

Michele Bachmann is fundraising in South Carolina today. Yesterday she said that if she becomes President she would get gas prices below $2 a gallon, but of course she did not say how that would happen.
