Xeni Jardin of Boing Boing has been reporting this morning that police in New York appear to be using sonic weapons against Occupy Wall Street protesters involved in direct action today. Long Range Acoustic Devices are basically giant noise machines designed to make it impossible for humans to stay anywhere near them.
