First lady Michelle Obama has been a big advocate for early voting at rallies in the last few weeks, and now she's leading by example. The campaign just released this photo, via Flickr, of Mrs. Obama proudly showing off her absentee ballot.
She's definitely not the only Obama supporter out there casting her ballot early. New data shows that early voting, so far, is looking good for Democrats.
This isn't a huge surprise. Democrats typically benefit more from early voting, especially in-person early voting, which is one of the many reasons that we're keeping such a close eye on the U.S. Supreme Court. Briefings were filed over the weekend in the legal battle over early voting in the 3 days before the election, which is now in the Supreme Court's hands. This 3-day period, if reinstated, would give voters their only opportunity to cast a ballot on a weekend instead of a weekday, and as PoliticsNation has reported many times in the past, it was how 93,000 Ohioans chose to cast their ballots in 2008.
