Jeb Bush, former governor of Florida and relation to two recent U.S. presidents, ruled out his joining the Mitt Romney for president ticket as VP under any circumstances.
"I'm not gonna do it, and I'm not going to be asked, and it's not going to happen," he told Charlie Rose in an interview with CBS This Morning. "It doesn't mean I don't have a voice...but I'm not going to be a candidate with him. Under no circumstances."
Bush said he had not ruled out a run at the White House—a successful bid would mean three Bush presidencies—but that his best shot might have already passed.
"I've not made that decision," he said. "Although I think there's a window of opportunity and this was probably my time. I'm not sure I would have been successful as a candidate either. These are different times."
