Hundreds of attendees at the Faith and Freedom conference at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C., were evacuated from a ballroom for about 90 minutes on Friday after organizers said there was a “credible threat.” Authorities gave the all clear after performing a security sweep and finding no threat.
During the evacuation, attendees, according to NBC News, were directed to another room to hear from final speaker, former New York Gov. George Pataki.

Ralph Reed, the chairman of the Faith and Freedom Coalition, was heard telling attendees to move to the other room so a security sweep could take place in the main ballroom, saying “we don’t want anything to happen to anybody in this room.”
A number of Republican presidential hopefuls spoke earlier in the day, including New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal.
