Today, October 10, or 10/10, has been deemed "National Minimum Wage Day" by Labor Secretary Tom Perez. Perez, along with President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, and countless other prominent Democrats — and even a few Republicans — are on a Twitter campaign to #RaiseTheWage to $10.10 an hour. The federal minimum wage is currently $7.25.
