We’re six days away from the fiscal cliff, and there are millions of Americans who will face the consequences if Congress doesn’t cut a deal.

Tonight, Michael Eric Dyson, msnbc Political Analyst, Professor of Sociology at Georgetown University, and author of “Can You Hear Me Now?,” is filling in for Ed. He’ll speak to Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) and Ryan Grim, the Washington Bureau Chief for The Huffington Post, about the latest in the fiscal cliff battle.

A Tea Party giant stages an armed coup in his own office. Ari Melber, Correspondent for The Nation, reveals the stunning details of Dick Armey’s hostile takeover.

The NRA is catching heat from all directions. Georgetown University Law Professor David Cole weighs in on the growing drumbeat against the National Rifle Association.

Then, got milk? House Republicans are holding up the farm bill, and the price for a gallon of milk will shoot up to as much as $8 in just six days. David Cay Johnston, columnist for Reuters, Pulitzer Prize winner and author of “Perfectly Legal” and “Free Lunch,” tells us why House Republicans are taking America to the dairy cliff.

Plus, two controversial movies are heating up the box office. We’ll take a look at acclaimed director Spike Lee’s beef with Quentin Tarantino’s slavery saga, Django Unchained.

And in The Big Finish, the uproar over the depiction of torture in Zero Dark Thirty keeps getting bigger. Hina Shamsi, Director of the ACLU’s National Security Project, separates the fact from the fiction.

It’s going to another blockbuster @edshow at 8pET on @msnbctv.
