With just about every debate, there's the face-off behind the podiums, and then there is a second match up going on behind the scenes. It's off camera, where each campaign sends out its brigade of surrogates to “spin” every moment of the debate... and it's known to political reporters as the “spin room.”
Even though it’s not always a room, this spin zone is where each team will try to sell their take on the night’s debates and hit the other side on perceived missteps.
Tonights “spinners”? The Democrats’ corner will include high profile Obama advisors of David Axelrod, David Plouffe, Jim Messina, Stephanie Cutter and Jen Pskai.
The Republicans, meanwhile, have tapped into their congressional team. They'll have Senators Marco Rubio, Kelly Ayotte, and Rob Portman among others.
Just be careful not to get too dizzy.
