Tuesday's campaign round-up

Today's installment of campaign-related news items from across the country.
Today's installment of campaign-related news items that won't necessarily generate a post of their own, but may be of interest to political observers:

* Following a New York Times story that said Sen. Pat Roberts (R) no longer maintains a home in his native Kansas, the Republican senator is no longer willing to go into detail about how much time he spends in the state he represents.

* The ad war in the congressional special election in Florida's 13th is heating up, with the House Majority PAC launching a new spot today. The ad targets Republican David Jolly for his lobbying work on Social Security.

* In Kentucky, state Republicans are demanding that Senate hopeful Alison Lundergan Grimes (D) return a campaign contribution from filmmaker Woody Allen. [Update: And soon after, the Kentucky Democratic Party called on Mitch McConnell to return a campaign contribution from former Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour.]

* Harper Polling is a popular outlet for Republicans and conservative campaign groups, but there are new questions about Harper Polling's methodology and the extent to which it excludes urban voters.

* In Arkansas, the Republican Governors Association is launching a new attack ad targeting Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mike Ross as a "big-spending liberal." When Ross was in Congress, he was a "Blue Dog" leader and generally considered one of the most conservative Democrats on Capitol Hill.

* And on MSNBC yesterday, Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus was asked whether the Lewinsky scandal from 19 years ago would be a prominent line of attack against Hillary Clinton, if the former Secretary of State runs for president. "I think everything's on the table," Priebus told Andrea Mitchell.
