A new survey out yesterday in New Hampshireasked people how upset they would be if the state legislature repealed marriage equality or kept it. Nearly half the people who support equality say they would be very upset to lose it, compared to just 23 percent on the other side.

The lack of passion for taking rights away from your neighbors hasn't stopped New Hampshire's legislature from trying to sell the idea, using the trappings of the state to hammer the point home. The state's veto-proof Republican majority went into this session saying they intended to repeal marriage equality. That majority is not looking quite so veto-proof anymore.
