The coordinated terrorist attack that roiled Paris Friday night killed at least 129 people and injured more than 350 others — all in a matter of minutes.
The assaults unfolded at various locations throughout the French capital and its suburbs, among them restaurants, a popular nightclub, and a soccer stadium.
Seven suspects are dead, six from blowing themselves up, authorities said, and one shot by police. Their attacks all began around 9:30 p.m. local time, or 3:30 p.m. ET.
Here is a timeline of the chaos, as recounted by Paris prosecutor Francois Molins at a news conference Saturday:
9:25 p.m.An explosion rocks a soccer match at Stade de France, the country's national stadium in the northern Parisian suburb of Saint-Denis, as the French and German national teams square off. Two people are killed. French President Francois Hollande, who is among the spectators at the match, is evacuated from the stadium.
At the same time, in the 10th arrondissement of Paris — a neighborhood that's home to many bars, restaurants and cafes on the banks surrounding the Canal St. Martin — a man using a semi-automatic weapon opens fire on a crowded bar, Le Carillon. The gunman then crosses the street and starts shooting at diners at Le Petit Cambodge, a Cambodian and Vietnamese restaurant. Fifteen people are killed at the restaurant, Molins said.
9:30 p.m.A second explosion detonates at Stade de France, killing two more people.
9:32 p.m.Five people are killed on rue de la Fontaine au Roi in the 11th arrondissement, a trendy, quirky Parisian district. Eight are wounded.
9:36 p.m.A shooting occurs at Belle Equipe, a popular bar in the 11th arrondissement, killing nine and injuring others.
9:40 p.m.Gunmen storm the Bataclan nightclub, where American band Eagles of Death Metal are playing before a packed crowd. The assailants hold hostages for hours, spraying concertgoers with automatic weapon fire and killing 89 people. Witnesses reported the attackers cried "Allahu Akbar."
At the same time, at Comptoir Voltaire cafe in the 11th arrondissement, an explosion injures one person.
