Sarah Palin to GOP: I’m calling your bluff! Impeach Obama!

Despite being ostracized by fellow Republicans after making calls to impeach Obama, Sarah Palin doubled down on the “I-word” this weekend, saying ”there’s only one remedy for a president who commits high crimes and misdemeanors and it’s impeachment.”

As far as her party goes, the former vice presidential candidate said she’s “calling their bluff.”

“These days you hear all of these politicians they’re denouncing Barack Obama, saying oh he’s a lawless and imperial president and ignores court orders and changes laws by fiat and refuses to enforce laws that he just doesn’t like,” Palin said at the Western Conservative Summit in Denver Saturday. “That’s true, but the question is, what are you gonna do about it? Let’s call their bluff. I’m calling their bluff. Cause we need a little less talk and a lot more action!”

Palin made headlines two weeks ago, when she penned an op-ed on calling for the president’s impeachment over the border crisis, writing that “the many impeachable offenses of Barack Obama can no longer be ignored,” and that “his unsecured border crisis is the last straw that makes the battered wife say, ‘no mas.’”

Palin’s calls split the GOP, with Republicans like Majority Leader Rep. John Boehner and others distancing themselves.

“I disagree,” Boehner said repeatedly when asked about Palin’s calls and criticism of his lawsuit against the president.

In her 30-minute address, she slammed the president over Benghazi and criticized him for giving illegal immigrants “amnesty,” referring to the president’s executive order that ordered the immigration officials not to deport immigrants who were brought here illegally as young children.

That policy created the border crisis, Palin alleged, referring to the tens of thousands of children who have been walking across the Mexican-American border fleeing South American countries. Palin said it’s not just children, though, and that “gang bangers and terrorists” were flooding “unsecured borders” too.
