It's official -- Donald Sterling is selling the Clippers.

An attorney on behalf of the embattled Los Angeles Clippers owner announced Wednesday Sterling and his estranged wife/co-owner Shelly Sterling reached a deal with the NBA to sell the team to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer for a record $2 billion plus various additional benefits.

The NBA banned Sterling from the league for life and fined him $2.5 million after a recording released in April captured him making racist remarks about African-Americans.
