BILL AIMS TO SPUR JOB GROWTH FOR THE UNEMPLOYED: In a rare show of bipartisanship, U.S. Sens. Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Tim Scott (R-SC) have teamed up on bill to increase the number of registered apprenticeships in the U.S. and provide tax credits to employers in an effort to spur job growth. The goal is to create 400,000 apprenticeships across the nation and fill a portion of the 4 million jobs that remain vacant because employers can't find workers with the necessary skills.
