Business Latest: Water, but is it safe?

 

WATER, BUT IS IT SAFE:  California’s drought is exposing residents to unsafe drinking water.  As more groundwater is being used in California’s drought, the deeper wells have more arsenic than is allowable in humans. Arsenic is linked to heart disease, and cancer. Residents in several cities in the Central Valley are already being forced to buy their own bottled water as a result. Read more 

UNRELIABLE GRADS:  Businesses don’t have much faith that recent college hires will stick around for very long, reports a new survey. Based on experiences, the majority of businesses—77%—expect a recent graduate hire to stay less than a year. Read more
