Well, this is exciting news.
The AP is reporting on the two saxophone players who will join Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band on their upcoming "Wrecking Ball" world tour.
"Springsteen says longtime collaborator Eddie Manion will 'share the saxophone role' with Jake Clemons," the AP writes. Jake Clemons is none other than Clarence Clemons' nephew. Clemons, who died last June after suffering a stroke, had played a major role in the E Street Band since 1972.
The move to add Jake Clemons to the line up is sure to please longtime Springsteen fans, but adding a family member to the E Street Band isn't unprecedented: In 2009, the then 19-year-old Jay Weinberg filled in on drums for his father Max Weinberg for a handful of shows.
The announcement was made today on Springsteen's site.
