Host Melissa Harris-Perry on Thursday hosted msnbc's final event in a series of Google+ Hangouts On Air on the Supreme Court's rulings on marriage equality.

Joining the Hangout were Proposition 8 plaintiffs Paul Katami and Jeff Zarrillo, who got engaged during a press conference following the Supreme Court's decisions Wednesday.

Vanderbilt University law professor Suzanna Sherry; and msnbc.com executive editor, Richard Wolffe. The panel discussed their initial reactions to the landmark decisions and analyze what they mean for the future of the LGBT community, and the nation as a whole.

Update: After the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals lifted the stay on Proposition 8, Katami and Zarillo were married live on Friday night's edition of "The Rachel Maddow Show." The video is posted below.
