A Mother's Day parade in New Orleans turned violent after a shooting left 12 people injured, none with life-threatening injuries, NBC News reported.

Two or three people started shooting at the intersection of Frenchmen and N Villere streets shortly after 1 p.m. for unknown reasons, police said.

A 10-year-old girl suffered a graze wound during the shooting.
