Herman Cain seems to like to keep things simple, even when it comes to oftentimes complex and nuanced international relations.Looking to quiet critics of his foreign policy credentials and convince the American electorate he has what it takes to be the leader of the free world, the candidate drew the line in the sand with a special map on his website; you're basically either a friend, or you aren't.In "Cain's Vision For Foreign Policy and National Security," the oversimplified graph outlines our country's relations with brief label and accompanying description. For instance, the United Kingdom is labeled "Our Special Relationship," Russia is flagged as a "rival" and Israel is listed as a "friend and ally." The highlighted blue map showing "the density of Facebook connections around the world" is somehow supposed to show "how entrepreneurship and freedom can light the world with friendship," the caption explains. Earlier in the day, the site also included a geographic mistake forgivable only for elementary school children, listing the U.K., Germany and Russia under its "Americas" section. The error was later corrected.Considering Cain's recent allegations of a 13-year affair, his "vision" is probably the least of his worries right now.
