Let me finish tonight with an observation about Sarah Palin. As the former governor of Alaska, an oil-producing state, you expect Sarah Palin to have reasonably fixed positions on the dangers of off-shore drilling. Let's see if we can follow her line of thinking… Last night, she blamed the Gulf of Mexico oil spill on those whom she calls "extreme greenies." She said that we should have stuck with drilling for oil on-shore, in places like the Alaskan wilderness. Is this the Palin position? Avoiding drilling off-shore? Let's see for ourselves.

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy Wait a minute. The same Sarah Palin that is now saying we should have avoided off-shore drilling was out there pushing what? Off-shore drilling. And she still is. "We have to keep drilling offshore,” she told Greta Van Susteren. What a useless thing her thoughts are. This horror in the Gulf is like a Rorschach test, like one of those ink blots that they use to test the way your brain works – this is how Sarah Palin's brain works. She says we should drill off-shore. She says we shouldn't be drilling offshore. She says we shouldn't "stop" drilling offshore. And this is her specialty, she tells us. Can you imagine taking orders from such a person?
