Update 4:54 p.m. Doctors at New York-Presbyterian Hospital said Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would make a full recovery after they discovered a blood clot situated between her brain and skull, behind her right ear Sunday night, Andrea Mitchell reported. The clot formed after Clinton suffered a concussion following a fall a few weeks ago, but did not result in neurological damage or a stroke, according to her doctors.

Doctors said they would release the secretary after they determined the right dosage for her blood-thinner medication.

"In all other aspects of her recovery, the Secretary is making excellent progress and we are confident she will make a full recovery," Dr. Lisa Bardack of Mt. Kisco Medical Group, and Dr. Gigi El-Bayoumi, of George Washington University, said in a statement Monday.

"She is in good spirits, engaging with her doctors, her family, and her staff."

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was hospitalized in New York Sunday after doctors discovered a blood clot during a check-up, according to the State Department.

Doctors at New York-Presbyterian Hospital said the blood clot was the result of a concussion Clinton suffered a few weeks ago. Doctors were treating Clinton with blood-thinners and keeping her under observation for 48-hours.

Clinton's concussion kept her from testifying on the attack against the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, that left four Americans dead.
