Amid shutdown, first 2019 Senate bill would defend Israel
Legislation that would stop any potential boycott of Israel has gained bipartisan support in the Senate. If passed, the law would stop people or companies from the boycott, divestment and sanction of Israeli goods. Arkansas told a newspaper that the organization has to sign the pledge in order to be paid for advertisements from a state college. The Arkansas Times responded with a lawsuit. MSNBC’s Ayman Mohyeldin talks about the issue with Alan Leveritt, the publisher of the Arkansas Times, and Brian Hauss, attorney with the American Civil Liberties Union.
