Vilsack: Farmers want markets, not bailouts
Tom Vilsack, who served as U.S. Agriculture Secretary under President Obama, tells MSNBC’s Gigi Stone Woods that President Trump’s aggressive tariffs are costing American agriculture hundreds of billions of dollars. Vilsack says the $12 billion aid package announced by the White House is politically advantageous to the President, but farmers actually want NAFTA to be renegotiated and the trade battle with China to be resolved as quickly as possible.
