This week the New England Journal of Medicine stepped into politics for the first time in its over 200 year history. In a powerful editorial, 35 editors called for Americans to vote out politicians who haven’t done enough to address the pandemic. The editorial called out our current political leaders as being “dangerously incompetent,” and said that allowing them to keep their jobs would be enabling the deaths of thousands more Americans. Eric Rubin, Editor-in-chief of the New England Journal of Medicine, joins MSNBC’s Yasmin Vossoughian to talk about the journal’s unprecedented editorial.Oct. 10, 2020
