What does the Supreme Court’s census decision mean?


The Supreme Court just ruled that the Trump administration cannot add a citizenship question to the 2020 census -- for now. The 5-4 opinion, written by Chief Justice John Roberts, says that while the government has the right to ask the question, the explanation for doing so on the 2020 census was inadequate.
