CA Governor spares 700+ lives by ending death penalty


More than 2,700 people are on death row currently in the United States. California’s governor is taking the bold step of putting a stop to the death penalty in his state, sparing the lives of more than 700 prisoners. Ali Velshi and Stephanie Ruhle are joined by the Senior Counsel at the Brennan Center for Justice Lauren-Brooke Eisen, to discuss whether other states could follow suit.
