Michigan doctor travels 140 miles to deliver vaccines and ‘hope’ to a rural community


Dr. Richard Bates travels three hours north from his hospital in Midland, Michigan to deliver coronavirus vaccines to a rural hospital in Alpena, Michigan. He joins Lawrence O’Donnell to discuss how he’s able to transport those vaccines and why delivering those vaccines to a hard-to-reach community is like delivering a baby and handing off that baby to a new parent for the first time.
