Flickr user “colarusso” saw similarities between the doomed fail whale on Twitter and the current divide between politicians, both of which tend to aggravate people when they aren't working properly.

It was sparked by the talks surrounding the debt ceiling."Maybe it's symbolic of hope — those bald eagles (of Liberty?) are managing to carry the heavy load in spite of everything.
