After days of trading jabs over national security and government spending, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul is ready to "dial down" his war of words with New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
“I think with Governor Christie it's gotten a little too personal, so we're ready to kiss and make up,” he said during an appearance Wednesday on Fox News.
He told Neil Cavuto that he wants to “patch things up” over a beer next time the governor visits Washington. Paul said he plans to formalize the invite soon.
In his Rewrite segment, msnbc’s Lawrence O’Donnell said Rand will "be lucky if you get a handshake--and if you do get to shake his hand on Republican presidential debate stages... it will be before and after he beats the heck out of you in those debates.”
