Surprise! It’s President Obama and Steve Harvey.

The pair recently greeted White House tour groups, according to a new video released Wednesday.

During a sit-down interview last Friday, Harvey talked the president into saying a quick hello to guests: “How about if you get some of these people with these ear pieces and pistols, and find one of these tours, and me and you walk in and surprise the people on the tour?”

Obama, who appeared to be in a festive mood, agreed to “spread some Christmas cheer.”

The president shook hands with the visitors, mostly children, and pointed out to one school boy, "You've got ears just like me … that gives you some special power." He also told a woman celebrating her birthday, "You get a birthday hug.”

Harvey didn’t get as much attention standing next to the commander-in-chief. “I’ve never been ignored these many times ever!” Harvey joked. Obama assured him, “It's okay, they just can’t see you behind the decorations.”

Approximately 70,000 visitors are expected to visit the decked out halls of the White House this holiday season.
