When President Obama hits the campaign trail, he rolls with a stocked cooler.

During a visit to an Iowa coffee shop as part of his three-day bus tour, Obama got to chatting about brewskis with a local resident on Tuesday. The president casually mentioned they made their own at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave and his team carries bottles of the home-brew on the tour bus.

According to Obama campaign spokeswoman Jen Psaki, Obama gave the man a White House Honey Ale during the morning pit-stop. (It's five o'clock somewhere, am I right?)

White House spokesman Jay Carney confirmed "there is a home brew, if you will, at the White House" and the president enjoys one every now and again.

White House chefs have been quietly serving small batches at special events, like the most recent Super Bowl party. The beer comes in both light and dark styles. Carney could only speak to the light ale, which he called "quite refreshing."
