Nope, that's not a headline from the Onion or a word of the day riddle on Sesame Street. That is an actual story that came out of the World Scrabble Championships in Warsaw, Poland this past weekend.
The spokesman for the tournament announced that officials had to intervene on Saturday after two players from Thailand and Britain realized a "G" tile went missing from their Scrabble match. Referees searched the premises and even made the two players empty their pockets. However, the "G" tile was never found and officials finally replaced the lost tile.
Earlier today, msnbc's Willie Geist covered the controversy and even gave us a history of Scrabble squabbles. Check it out above!
