First Word: Threatening letter mailed to Obama

The United States Secret Service confirmed Thursday a threatening letter, possibly containing the deadly poison ricin, was mailed to President Obama.

The United States Secret Service confirmed Thursday a threatening letter, possibly containing the deadly poison ricin, was mailed to President Obama. The Secret Service said it was found at an off-site facility and never reached the White House. But, officials warned it appears to be similar in nature to the letters recently mailed to New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
