The NRA's convention in Houston over the weekend featured conservative Republican speakers including Ted Cruz, Sarah Palin, Rick Santorum and Rick Perry, but did not ask a single Democrat to speak at the conference. With the NRA claiming its largest membership ever, 70,000 supporters of 5 million members attended as leaders of the NRA celebrated the defeat of gun legislation in the Senate and rallied supporters to look ahead to the next challenge -- the 2014 elections.
