Thousands of Egyptians gathered in Cairo's Tahrir Square today, marking the one-year anniversary of the start of the revolution. The crowd erected an obelisk with the names of people who were killed during the 18-day uprising that successfully ousted former President Hosni Mubarak.

People came out for various reasons, ranging some celebrating their recent electoral victory and to others calling for further reforms under the new military rule. While the growing pains are still visible, so is the change.
