Congressmen clash at IRS hearing

Rep. Darrell Issa cut the microphone but that didn't stop Rep. Elijah Cummings from speaking his mind.

Former IRS official Lois Lerner pleaded the Fifth Wednesday at a congressional hearing over the treatment of Tea Party groups.

House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa, a California Republican, then did something we've never really seen before: he abruptly adjourned the hearing without allowing any other member of the committee to speak.

Democratic Rep. Elijah Cummings of Maryland immediately took Issa to task for shutting things down before he could make a statement.
