Just over five months after President Obama approved military action in Libya it appears that change has finally come to Tripoli. Rebels have taken over most of the capital even though small pockets of fighting continue. Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi remains at large but there is little doubt his 42-year-old reign of power is ending. Even with this apparent win some Republicans are still criticizing the administration by saying it's taken too long - and there is a long list of Republicans that have been criticizing the President and predicting failure. We'll have the latest on all of this tonight.
We all know Republicans have been refusing to raise taxes on anyone - until now. The Associated Press is reporting that the GOP may might be preparing to not extend the payroll tax holiday that President Obama singed into law last year. The payroll tax holiday directly benefits middle class Americans by lowering social security tax from 6.2% to 4.2%. But don't worry still no plans from Republicans to raise taxes on millionaires.
Republican Presidential Candidate Jon Huntsman is trying to differentiate himself from the rest of the field by doing something crazy - believing in science! Last week he tweeted: "To be clear. I believe in evolution and trust scientists on global warming. Call me crazy." Yesterday he went on ABC's "This Week" and declared himself a "center right candidate" and then went on to attack Michele Bachmann and Rick Perry on a number of issues. Has the GOP been pulled too far to the right by the tea party to ever nominate a moderate Republican?
