We received an enormous amount of feedback on Ed's comments about teachers last night. One email from a teacher in particular caught our attention that was from a teacher. Here is an excerpt:
Date: March 2, 2011Subject: THANK YOU!!!!!!!... For those "experts" on what makes a teacher I have some advice. Be prepared to inform a class of 30 ten year old children that their classmate was hit by a car and killed the night before....and then be able to deal with their grief as well as your own.
There is a lot more to it, so we've asked this teacher, who dedicated her life the to well-being of others, to join us tonight and share her story.
